I recently set a goal for myself to read a book a month this year, beginning in February! I get so laser focused on work and doing that sometimes I forget about what I need for me. This past year has been a season of awakening in my life. It stopped becoming so much about the output and more about the input in my life and in my self. I was giving, creating and doing so much that I found myself at a crossroads of: would I keep going this direction that would eventually lead to burnout and my unhappiness or would I go down this other path that embodies and leads to the life I want to live. It sounds big and full of massive, bold choice and while it is, technically, it also is very small in the grande scheme of things because when you break it down, we’re always making these choices and decisions we just may not realize it. I had gotten to that place, where I wasn’t really making intentional choices based around the life and vision I have for myself but more around the habits I got used to doing, which weren’t serving me on a personal level. And that always come first in my book.
Fill Your Cup
Ladies, I know you know what I’m talking about! How can you ever pour from an empty cup. You just can’t. You can try and try but the cup runneth dry and that’s just the law of physics. We have to actively and daily, fill our cup!
So I started with one thing, and then another and kept building on that until I eventually felt myself on this path again. And reading, reading everyday, is a fierce habit that not only gives you time for you, it provides you with new perspective, new tools, new ideas for forward movement in your life! Think about it this way to, it’s distraction free time you can be with you and your personal self growth.
The Book Club
The books we will read in these next 11 months are self development books! These are the books that remind me I’m not alone in my thoughts about life, that there are others who seek a greater understanding to life than simply existing in it and driving forward from ego vs heart. I am a leader in my life, just as you are. I am a leader of my marriage sometimes, I am a leader in my career, I am a leader of others in inspiring change and forward movement in the world and mostly, I am a leader of myself and my life. Whether you are one or all of these or more, the one truth that binds each of us is that we are all the leader of ourselves.
Initially I shared on Instagram + Facebook about my goal and threw it out there if anyone wanted to join me, to comment below and because I saw so much interest, I decided that the most obvious thing to do was to create this thing! Of course, not without intentional thought of if this could be something I can honestly commit to. It’s a commitment each month and even daily to ourselves and I’m honestly so excited to do this with you, to have a new tool we each learn and share and grow in together in our Fierce Forward movement!
Book Club begins March 1st and ends December 31st unless it becomes wildly loved and we continue it on!
Be sure to comment below if you want to join in on the Book Club and read the details below so you know what to expect each month and how we’ll all be interacting throughout the month!

Reading Outline for Primary Greatness
By only reading 6 pages per day in March, you will finish March’s book at the end of the month.
There are 182 pages in this book and 31 days in March, which means all you have to do is read 6 pages per day! Can you believe that breakdown! Or you could break it up into 3 days of reading per week. Just divide total number of pages by how many days that month you want to commit to reading!
