If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail. -Benjamin Franklin
I’ve always known how important it is to plan that which you’re trying to attack. I felt like it was time I got back in the sport of being a true goal setter! That means implementing a plan of attack=a workout notebook. I wanted to create something inspiring & fiercely motivational and with all the new stickers out there I knew I could find my way in Hobby Lobby.
Tip: look for Hobby Lobby’s 50% off sales. I got these scrapbooking materials at 50% off, creating a grand total of $12 to make!
- this black tie book that is small enough to take with you in your bag and not look bulky (found in paper section of Hobby Lobby)
- as many motivational stickers as you’d like for your cover
- numbered stickers of your design choice (shown is typewriter) for month 1, month 2, etc
- holiday stickers and smiley face stickers for your individual days of completion throughout each month
- pocket calendar by Smash It (found at Target or here)
- some cool markers that will make your content pop
- a sheet of textured or colored card stock for the Month/Page Tabs
- clear glue
First: The cover
I wanted to do my cover first because it inspired me to create it and I wanted to be inspired before I got to the content! If you, too, want a Fierce Forward sticker to remind you of your intention, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will provide you a listing to get 3 of your choice!
Glue each pocket calendar on page 1 for September, then page 4 for October and so on. You will want the back side of the page for Week 1, then page 2 for Week 2, the back side of page 2 for Week 3 and Page 3 for Week 4
To make the Month tabs, cut any piece of cardstock paper in a rectangle then place your sticker for Month 1 on one tab, then glue the back side to Page 1, 4 and so on. Glue the page tab on the page of the Calendar.
Now for the content! Create lines so there are 7 boxes on each page (for 7 days of the week). Then, put your workout and weights in each box. You’ll be able to record your weight after completion of the workout. Then, put a Gold Star or Smiley Face on each day completed! This not only gives you a sense of accomplishment, but by recording your workouts, you may also go back and see the progress over time. Have fun with this and be INSPIRED.
